Dictating to Nature – A Destructive Human Trend
We change what we do constantly in order to temporarily save ourselves from the mess we constantly make. We need to stop dictating to nature and nature will take care of the mess that we are. Let’s face it, this is what ‘human nature’ is … a distorted reality of what we decide, the mess we create through questionable processes, the perverted idea of what is best for us determined by the ‘HAVE’s’ … much to the exclusion of the ‘HAVE NOTS’. Let nature decide.
Who CREATED the HUMAN NEED in US? God?
Let’s face it, the higher class generally stare down their noses at the jobless, the poor and the homeless. Is it necessary, even for a moment to reflect on how people became poor in the first place? For sure God, no matter how you perceive it/him/her to be, did not create poor people.
I don’t speak of spiritual need here. Human need Spiritual need is something else which (human created) religion itself has altered to dictate to the spiritual world, just as we have done with nature. I have touched on this in article questioning how we raise our children, but will offer more opinion on this in future, I am sure.
We hear politicians, professionals and motivational speakers go on about what we need and the processes we must follow to provide for these needs. What politicians don’t tell you is that it is business and politics itself which created the NEED centuries ago.
Nature gives us everything we need to survive. We create our own ‘solutions’ because while nature provides what is best for us, we decide HOW we want nature to serve us, WHERE we want to be served and through WHAT processes. We have done everything in our power to alter the natural processes of the way things work, that we now face huge environmental catastrophes globally. How much longer are we going to lay claim to the superority of our divided intellect and allow our human acquired knowledge to dictate to nature? It doesn’t strike me as godly in any way.
We obsess over religion in all their destructive forms (yeah, go ahead, criticise my view – I’m immune), and how we are perceived by others. There is a tangible message by the middle-high class anywhere in the world which says to the rest “this is what you have to subscribe to and achieve if you’re to be anything at all.”Really? Go fly a kite.
The Power of Instinct and of Conscience
Where do we seperate instinct and conscience? At what point?
Instinct will do the best for its own survival (this is why people say animals are not transient beings … an opinion I cannot agree with). Conscience does its best for humanity, the animal kingdom and the earth upon which we live and which we torture daily.
I have power, but I am not motivated or controlled by that power. I am motivated by what I can DO with that power. This is ethical business, this is ethical living. The WHAT is simple, the HOW is the question integrity will always have an ethical and constructive answer for.
We really shouldn’t be dictating to nature by creating unnatural solutions to the natural disasters we create through applying unnatural processes. Nature requires a natural kind of obedience and awe for something we will never control for long. Nature will hit back … and IS.
