Do Modern Societies Abuse Children from Birth?
Have you ever considered … just for a moment … the possibilty that the abuse against children begins the day they are born? We talk about raising our children right …. my belief is that we are destroying the potential of the human race because of the way we raise our children and what we subject them to. Do we not impose our own religions, traditions, politics and cultures on them from the day they are born in the misguided (from my perspective) tradition of passing on what our parents passed on to us? Yes, we do. Do we not cart them off to church to learn that anyone who does not believe in Jesus is evil and will die and go to hell? Yes, we do.
Nurturing Children to be Unique in Thought & Mind
My question is: What makes our parents right? Did they ever explore any other religion, tradition, culture or even create their own? No, probably not … So, ask yourself, what have you been subscribing to and imposing on your own mind and offspring since you were born?
Freedom of Choice or Brainwashing?
We are hypocrites. We TELL our children that they have freedom of choice … but that isn’t what we TEACH them. We do not teach our children that they can choose to be religious or not. They find that out. Just like they find out the Tooth Fairy and Father Christmas are not really real. Only very few haven’t been brainwashed enough to be able to escape the idea and concept of religion and turn to spirituality (which are two very different things) or atheism or any other option that may be available to them. Do we not do the same with politics, irrelevant traditions and expired cultures?
From birth our children are raised in lies, fairy tales and fantasy. I’m not saying these things are wrong. All I’m saying is that it is wrong of us to lead them down a path which they will discover has no end in truth
Who gives us the right to bring a life into this world and decide for them that we will cut off a part of his penis or pierce her ears for whatever reason? We have no right. No child should be forced to be what they are born into ideologically, spiritually, or psychologically. Physical circumstance can’t be avoided.
Who gives us the right to subject a child to the mind numbing concept of life and death through a process of living which makes them live in guilt, oppress their innermost desires and fear a hell which simply doesn’t exist but in their minds … because we put it there?
We build expectations of things that never arrive
I am just using Christianity as an example here. We do the same in other spheres of life. Many parents dictate to their children what they will become. Christians impose on their children a fear of hell and a story which is intended for them to live a good life which ends up in some heaven we cannot begin to comprehend because it simply doesn’t exist in our reality. The fact is religion causes hate, extremism and is a tool for the perverted to get close to the vulnerable. Some really believe, although they cannot base that belief in any reality but the Bible in its physical existence. Others don’t believe and use the physical reality of the Bible to achieve their own questionable aims.
Does Religion Teach Independence or Dependance?
Christianity does not teach independence, it teaches dependance. It teaches us not to be accountable because if we made a mistake all we need do is confess our sins and it is all good again. In my view, that’s the perfect way to avoid accountability.
The other person still lives with the trauma inflicted on them, no matter how much you think you were forgiven by some god you have never seen, spoken to or heard. Had you spoken to the guy, girl or it, he, she or it would have told you about the suffering someone else is going through because of you. Would they have to subscribe to your religion and what you believe in order to be healed from the harm you brought to them?
I’m just asking the questions. I have my own answers and I am finally able to live my life by them. It’s a view I arrived at myself, not because it was imposed on me. The ironic thing is, I believe in God … and it, he, she is energy … we live that energy, whether good or bad, but religion? I’ll pass, but thanks … I am not what I was born into.
I’ll create my own circumstance and develop my own understanding and arrive at my own conclusions. It’s simple independence … and that’s what we should be teaching our children … NOT to be like us … but to be themselves.
