South Africa Must Brace Itself for a Fresh Wave of Corruption Scandals
With the launch of Graeme Joffe’s book, “Sport: Greed & Betrayal – Wanted for Crimes Against Journalism”, South Africans must brace themselves for a new wave of corruption scandals which will further strain the presidency of Cyril Ramaphosa. The revelations answer so many pertinent questions South Africans have been asking regarding the poor performances of our sports teams at world events. The book uncovers the shady world of business, media, politics and sports administration where the fan and our sportsmen and women come second to ego, advancement in the workplace and inflated bank accounts.
Corruption in South Africa is a Non-Racial Sport
Somehow, with all the racial divide politicians sew, corruption of sport in South Africa appears to have crossed those racial lines and in an emerging ‘class based society’, managed to CAPTURE the ENTIRE SOUTH AFRICAN SPORTING WORLD. This includes SASCOC, government officals, media houses, journalists and possibly even some loudmouths who have prominent positions in society under the guise of ‘leading’ South Africa. Yeah, right … our sporting spirit and winning culture, our grassroots development programmes, our sports sponsorships … everything now functions toward the benefit of corrupt businessmen, administrators and politicians
What is the media afraid of?
Highbury Safika Media (HSM) are still trying legally to block the launch & sale of my book in SA. HSM were paid millions as the SASCOC spin doctor & paid off an employee who took them to the CCMA re: https://t.co/PR5mL3ZuVk & they’re a big part of the moral decay in SA sport.

South Africans need to ask themselves why it has taken ONE journalist to flee South Africa in fear of his life in order to unpack the depth of the rot? It begs the question, “Is our independent media corrupt and captured too?” Can we believe anything the media tells us anymore?
Using the Legal System to Silence Whistle Blowers
Why would Highbury Safika Media (HSM) want to launch a legal campaign against the launch of the book? “Sport: Greed & Betrayal” illuminates those who are hiding in the shadows. Joffe holds no punches in naming the players and the roles they played. He has no fear of publicly implicating the likes of Koos Bekker and Naspers, SASCOC, the Ministry of Sport, Mark Keohane, Fikile Mbalula then Minister of Sport), Jurie Roux of SARU and other media houses who have benefitted from kickbacks at the expense of our sportsmen and women and development of sport in general.
Finally! The book will reach bookstores in July
Impatient? Get it on Amazon
On 26 June 2019, Joffe announced that his book will be available in stores during July. Let’s hope this is the start to cleaning up the rot and give back to the youth of South Africa, the athletes who so passionately represent South Africa and a public who are desperately in need of the resurrection of South African pride and excellence on the sports field. Every South African regardless of colour knows that the one thing that can unite us ONE NATION, is SPORT. We cannot allow ‘THEM’ (because they are no part of US) to destroy a rich, powerful and proud sporting history and WINNING CULTURE which we so sorely miss.
Sport: Greed & Betrayal will be available in leading SA book stores by mid July. Thanks for your patience & understanding. The truth will not be suppressed. Systemic corruption, nepotism & maladministration has led to the moral decay of SA sport! https://t.co/dWALm6QTHE pic.twitter.com/10v6kgOOlY
